🕊️ Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Awareness Initiative

The SAB Foundation is committed to raising awareness and driving action against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in South Africa. This initiative seeks to educate communities, challenge harmful norms, and create safe spaces where survivors are heard, supported, and empowered.

GBV remains one of the most urgent social challenges affecting individuals across all ages, genders, and communities. Through awareness campaigns, community engagement, and strategic partnerships, the SAB Foundation aims to promote understanding of GBV, encourage reporting, and connect survivors to critical support services.

This initiative also focuses on prevention through education—working with communities, youth, and local organisations to foster respect, equality, and healthy relationships. By addressing the root causes of violence and promoting behavioural change, we strive to contribute to safer homes, schools, and communities.

We believe that silence enables violence, and awareness leads to change. Together with partners, donors, and community members, we can stand against GBV and build a society where dignity, safety, and respect are non-negotiable.
